Inside Industry with IREO releases three new episodes

The Innovation and Research Engagement Office (IREO) has released three new episodes of Inside Industry with IREO featuring Marie Mayes, Jon Oatley, and WSU’s honeybee team.

Mayes, director of the Center for Entrepreneurship and a clinical assistant professor in the Carson College of Business, talks about the integration of educating student-athletes at WSU on name, image, and likeness (NIL).

Oatley, an associate dean for research for the College of Veterinary Medicine, professor in the School of Molecular Biosciences and director of the Functional Genomics Initiative, talks about spreading desirable characteristics in livestock with the gene editing tool CRISPR-Cas9.

WSU’s honeybee team joins Inside Industry with IREO to discuss their program at the school, which includes their breeding program, their new honeybee facility, and how they use fungi to save bee colonies.
