Community Health Partnerships Workshop – Register by 4/3

This workshop is part of the Health Equity Research Collaborative (HERC), a WSU Grand Challenge funded initiative. The initiative involves faculty from multiple colleges who have an interest in understanding the factors that promote health resilience and decrease health risks associated with poverty, discrimination, and poor access to healthcare.

The workshop is free and open to all WSU faculty and graduate students, and aims to facilitate partnership-building between the university and community-based organizations. Space is limited so please register by April 3rd.

Representatives from six relevant organizations will present ideas for research collaborations and extramurally funded projects that could significantly increase their abilities to fulfill their healthcare missions.

Yakima County Health District
Pullman Regional Hospital
Washington State Department of Health

Additional breakout sessions on nutrition, stress & health, and community-based intervention research will allow participants to discuss specific ideas for projects related to areas of WSU strength. Seed grants will be made available to launch promising projects.

Lunch will be provided at this free event.
