An Open Conversation with Research Operations
The Office of Research invites the WSU research community to an open forum with Maria Hernandez, Associate Vice President for Research Operations, along with members of her teams. This session is an opportunity to ask questions, share feedback, and engage in discussion about research administration, processes, and research operation support across the university.
We welcome faculty, staff, and research administrators from all campuses to participate in this conversation. Your insights and experiences help us strengthen our services and better support WSU’s research mission.

2026 Research Operations Stakeholder Listening Tour
The Office of Research Support and Operations teams are working with each college to schedule our 2026 Listening Tour sessions. Our teams will visit colleges and departments to discuss key research operations processes for contract review, proposal workflows, and award release actions, and to hear directly from faculty and administrators about what’s working and where improvements are needed.

Campus Veterinarian
The Campus Veterinarian team provides veterinary care and vivarium services on the Pullman and Spokane campuses. The following Vivarium Stakeholder Listening Sessions, are tailored to the Pullman and Spokane campuses and are designed to give researchers, staff, and other partners an opportunity to share feedback, ask questions, and help guide future improvements to our veterinary and animal care operations.

Advancement and Strategy
The Advancement and Strategy Team continues to hold rotating Departmental orientation sessions to share about support capabilities offered by the Office of Research, including time for Q&A and feedback.
