WSU Spokane Program of Laboratory Animal Resources receives Chancellor Excellence Award

The WSU Spokane Vivarium Services staff also known as the Program of Laboratory Animal Resources (PLAR) were recognized with the 2023 Department Excellence Award presented during the WSU Spokane Chancellor’s Excellence Awards.

The PLAR team includes Robert Archuleta, Heather Applegate-Jacobson, Terrance Morris, Barrett Everson, and Rachel Cernetic.

WSU Spokane’s annual Chancellor’s Excellence Awards are an opportunity to celebrate the contributions of outstanding students, faculty, and staff who go above and beyond their normal duties, demonstrate strong leadership skills and serve as great representatives for WSU Spokane, both on campus and within the community.

The WSU Spokane Program of Laboratory Animal Resources is a unit within the Office of the Campus Veterinarian (OCV). OCV provides veterinary care, animal care and housing, and related support across the WSU system. The team at WSU Spokane provides compassionate animal care and research support at the highest standards.  The WSU animal care and use program has been accredited by AAALAC International since 1979.
