Limited submission opportunities restrict the number of proposals an institution may submit. The Office of Research conducts an internal peer review to select proposals approved for sponsor submission. Final approval for limited submissions rests with the Vice President for Research who will make the decision in the best interest of the institution.
Cover Letter
You must fill out a Cover Letter to apply for a limited submission opportunity.
If you have missed the internal deadline, please contact or.orap.servicedesk@wsu.edu. In the event that no other pre-proposals were received, you may be approved to proceed with developing a proposal for final review by the Vice President for Research.
What happens after you apply for a Limited Submission?
If the number of applicants exceeds the sponsor’s limit, you may be contacted to provide additional information for internal review. Reviewers will then evaluate submissions and recommend the proposal that best aligns with the sponsor’s goals.
All applicants will be notified of the outcome.
- If selected, you’ll receive an official letter authorizing you to move forward preparing your proposal for review by the Office of Research and the Vice President for Research.
- If no additional information is needed, you’ll receive the same letter directly after the internal deadline.
