Institute of Materials Research (IMR) | Rates | Contact
The IMR provides a range of materials science related analytical tools both common as well as unique in the United States or worldwide. Single crystals are grown by the Czochralski technique as well as with the vertical and high-pressure Bridgman method. Currently gallium oxide and CdTe are grown and available for outside universities and commercial customers. Samples can be studied for atomic scale damage with depth resolved vacancy specific positron annihilation spectroscopy and on nanometer to micrometer scales with a 3D nano CT X-ray microscope with down to 50 nm resolution.

Laboratory for Cellular Metabolism and Engineering (LCME) Analytics | Contact
Our lab has long worked in the area of plant biochemistry/metabolism, with a major focus on plant specialized metabolism, as plants are ideal systems to work with to understand single-cell processes. But we often work on other organisms as well, such as studying cancer development and inflammation processes in mammalian systems, investigating the interaction between major insect pests and the microbes that infect them or that they vector to other eukaryotes, determining how marine microbes produce novel bioactive compounds, and gaining an understanding of how single-celled algae regulate metabolism such that we can use that information to design changes in bioenergy and bioproduct development efforts.

Peter Hooper GeoAnalytical Lab (GAL) | Rates | Contact
The GAL provides chemical analysis of inorganic Earth and environmental materials at macroscopic (hand sample size) to microscopic (~1 micron) scales. We can provide abundance data for most elements in the Periodic Table, excluding gases and highly radioactive elements, depending on user requirements. Determinations of forty-three elements are provided as a standard package for macro-scale samples.

Radiogenic Isotope and Geochronology Laboratory (RIGL) | Contact | Contact
As the name implies, the Radiogenic Isotope and Geochronology Laboratory (RIGL) specializes in radiogenic isotope and geochronologic analyses. In particular we specialize in the use of Rb-Sr, Sm-Nd, Lu-Hf, and U-Pb isotope systems for tracer applications and the U-Pb, Lu-Hf, and Sm-Nd systems for geochronology. Most of our work is on geological samples (e.g., rocks and minerals), but we also analyze biological materials and waters. Our laboratory is open to outside researchers to come to work in our lab and we also do some contract work on samples sent to us.

Complex Social Interaction Lab | Contact for Rates | Contact
The greater purpose of the Complex Social Interactions (CSI) Lab is to provide public safety agencies with technology that will help increase their supervisorial capacity, thus addressing one of the most pressing issues in 21st century policing and beyond. The CSI Lab will develop new software that has real-world applications to aid public safety agencies when seeking to improve their organization while evolving individual level decision-making. By surveying the measurement and tracing of data series within specific networks in audio, visual, and biometric recordings, our technology will help agencies not only validate reports, but identify other unreported altercations and incidents that may need reevaluation. CSI technology will help validate the success of interventions, including training, policies, and protocols.
