The Office of Research administers two programs, in partnership with the academic units, designed to maximize the University's opportunity to participate in new research initiatives and to enhance interactions between WSU faculty and program directors at federal agencies and private foundations.
Six to eight faculty members are selected to represent
different aspects of focused research strengths for each
mission. These faculty, who have a demonstrated record as
team players, accompany the Vice President for Research
to Washington, D.C.or New York city. The researchers
visit selected program directors at federal agencies and
private foundations. The most successful delegations are
composed of a diverse set of faculty members, young and
old, representing a variety of disciplines.
