{"id":3275,"date":"2026-06-30T15:13:07","date_gmt":"2026-06-30T22:13:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/research.wsu.edu\/vet\/?page_id=3275"},"modified":"2026-06-30T15:19:04","modified_gmt":"2026-06-30T22:19:04","slug":"animal-housing-husbandry-2","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/research.wsu.edu\/vet\/animal-housing-husbandry-2\/","title":{"rendered":"General Information"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"wsu-row wsu-row--single\" >\r\n    \n<div class=\"wsu-column\"  style=\"\">\r\n\t\n\n<h1 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Animal housing &amp; husbandry<\/h1>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Vivarium services<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Integrated Vivarium Services (IVS), a unit within the Office of the Campus Veterinarian, provides animal care, housing and related support on the WSU Pullman Campus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/spokane.wsu.edu\/research\/plar\/\">Program of Laboratory Animal Resources<\/a> (PLAR) provides animal care, housing and related support at the WSU Spokane campus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Centralization of services<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>On July 1, 2018, multiple animal facilities on the WSU Pullman campus made the transition to centralized management. Facilities report to the Office of the Campus Veterinarian within the Office of Research. On July 1, 2020, The WSU Health Sciences Spokane campus animal facilities (PLAR) also made the transition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Ideas, questions, and concerns<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/research.wsu.edu\/vet\/directory\/\"><strong>Contact Us<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You are welcomed and encouraged to contribute your ideas, desires, and concerns pertaining to management decisions.
