{"id":137,"date":"2019-01-17T16:06:27","date_gmt":"2019-01-18T00:06:27","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/research.wsu.edu\/vet\/?page_id=137"},"modified":"2026-03-18T08:31:03","modified_gmt":"2026-03-18T15:31:03","slug":"reporting-animal-care-concerns","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/research.wsu.edu\/vet\/reporting-animal-care-concerns\/","title":{"rendered":"Reporting animal care concerns"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"wsu-row wsu-row--sidebar-right\" >\r\n    \n<div class=\"wsu-column\"  style=\"\">\r\n\t\n\n<h1>Reporting animal care concerns<\/h1>\n<h2><span style=\"font-size: 18pt;\">Guidelines from the Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee<\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Washington State University will expeditiously investigate any allegations of suspected misuse of animals or concern regarding the care and use of research or teaching animals.<\/p>\n<p>Requirements are codified in Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC) <a href=\"https:\/\/iacuc.wsu.edu\/documents\/2017\/02\/animal-care-concern-guidelines.pdf\/\">Guideline #2: Reporting an Animal Care Concern<\/a> (pdf).<\/p>\n<h3>Confidentiality<\/h3>\n<p>An individual reporting a concern need not identify him\/herself to make a report.
