DESCRIPTION:Registration is now open for Science Talk\, a science communication conference with a focus on increasing science’s impact in society through better communication. The conference will be Thursday\, March 1 and Friday\, March 2 in Portland\, OR. \nThe conference will include panel talks on hot topic issues in science communication\, workshops covering the tools of the trade\, and a poster session. \nConference keynote speakers are: \n\nMichael Lemonick\, Scientific American editor\nKeri Kukral\, Raw Science TV founder\nPhil Plait\, the Bad Astronomer\n\nThe early bird registration rate is $250 for professionals and $75 for students and trainees. Rates will go up on Thursday\, February 1.
