Dear Colleagues,

The Office of Research, in collaboration with leaders across WSU, is closely monitoring changes to policies that may impact research, as well as ongoing lawsuits that have temporarily blocked some of these actions.

If you receive any communications from federal funders asking you to stop work, notifying you of a grant termination, or requesting a statement of compliance with federal law or Executive Orders, it is crucial that you promptly share these communications with the Office of Research (orso@wsu.edu), your grant administrator, chair or director, and dean.

This will serve two purposes:

  1. It will enable the Office of Research to respond effectively and provide timely guidance on next steps, including managing outstanding costs.
  2. It will keep the Office of Research informed about the latest agency responses to federal policy changes and related court actions across sectors.

For the most current updates on federal policy changes and their impact on research, please visit the Office of Research’s Federal Funding Updates page. We have also created a tracking page for federal funding opportunities that have been canceled or modified due to recent executive actions. If you are aware of any opportunities that should be added but are not currently listed, please contact or.orap.servicedesk@wsu.edu
