{"id":12947,"date":"2023-12-12T15:21:17","date_gmt":"2023-12-12T23:21:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/research.wsu.edu\/advancement\/?page_id=12947"},"modified":"2026-09-03T11:47:33","modified_gmt":"2026-09-03T18:47:33","slug":"process-grants","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/research.wsu.edu\/advancement\/funding\/internal\/process-grants\/","title":{"rendered":"Arts &amp; Humanities Process Grants"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Competitions will be held in Spring and Fall to support faculty\u2019s needs for research, scholarship and creative activity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Fall 2026 Deadline is October 1st.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The grants are intended to support smaller items needed such as: materials, printing, tools, software, permissions, services (transcription or translation), event support, marketing, participant stipends, etc. Travel is not an eligible expense. <strong>Grants are open to all faculty engaged in work based in the Arts &amp; Humanities, regardless of track, campus, or unit.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wsu-spacing-after--xxsmall\">The proposal must include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>A description of the project (500 words or fewer).\n<ul>\n<li>Background<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Significance<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Context (e.g., Is the proposed work part of a larger ongoing project; Is the proposed work multidisciplinary; etc.)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Budget\n<ul>\n<li>Individuals may apply for $500\u2013$2,500, depending on need. Projects in their initial phases are highly encouraged but we welcome projects in any phase. A total of $5,000 will be awarded in each round of funding.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Budget Justification \n<ul>\n<li>Brief narrative outlining on how the funds will be spent.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Award Terms and Conditions<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>The awards are for a 12-month period.
