OC hosts informational session for faculty entrepreneurs

An information session featuring Neal Okarter, investment manager for BASF Venture Capital, was hosted on May 23 for WSU researchers and faculty considering a startup around an innovation.

The presentation titled, “An Introduction to BASF Venture Capital,” shared details about BASF’s investment fund, the criterial for engagement and a Q&A session. Several WSU startups also met with Okarter to learn more information on how WSU could continue to work with their venture group.

Since 2001, BASF Venture Capital has been investing worldwide in young, fast-growing companies and funds related to current and future businesses. BASF investments focus on the areas of chemistry, new materials, sustainability, digitalization, and new, disruptive business models.
